This video features the WR0010 Carted Wheel Rake from Frontier. It’s one of three models in the WR00 Series (USCA) including the WR0008 and the WR0012. These carted wheel rake models use 8, 10, or 12 rake wheels, and have working widths ranging from 17 to 24 feet (5.18 – 7.32 m).

These rakes also offer several features that improve performance and value over previous models.

A dual-spring rake arm suspension allows you to choose from 3 different arm suspension settings. You can adjust the spring tension to match different terrain and crop conditions.

You can also easily vary the windrow width by adjusting the raking angle. A simple 2-point position pin-and-hole adjustment will vary the windrow width so you can match your baler pick-up.

Like other, more expensive rakes, all WR00 Series Carted Wheel Rake models offer standard 2-arm raking, as well as single side, left or right arm only raking. That gives operators true versatility in the field and real value to your hay operation.

Each model also offers an optional center kick wheel, which turns the center of windrows for a fluffier, more even windrow, which helps speed drydown.

The rake wheels are 55-inches (139.7 cm) in diameter and are available with optional wind panels to prevent crop loss through the rake wheels. They also prevent crop from wrapping around the wheel hub.

Each rake wheel also features large tines that are 7 mm (.28 in) in diameter, which increases wear life by keeping tine breakage to a minimum.

For transport mode, both rake arms fold onto the transport cart and are secured in position using wing locks, wing hydraulic lockout valves, and transport chain. A minimum transport width of 98 inches (2.49 m), a cart wheel stance of 6 feet (1.83 m), and 15 inch (38.1 cm) help keep the rake stable during transport.

As always, remember to read the Operator’s Manual before operating any piece of equipment, and follow all operating and safety instructions.

How the heck do I remove the front dolly wheel on a JD 640 side-delivery rake? The hub is captive between the two forks, so thought I could just slide the axle out, after removing the nut. Axle has a nut on one end, and a thin square head welded on other end. But nothing will budge. Maybe bearings are rusted? Maybe there's some other trick to it? Thought I'd ask before applying too much persuasion (sledgehammer) and busting something.

by Jack Wetmore. These assembly notes are for Massey Ferguson tractors with a two stage clutch and 6 speed, 8 speed and mutli-power transmissions. I see a lot of discussion forum messages regarding damaged clutches from improper assembly. The objective is to have the engine and transmission slide together safely and easily until the gap between the two halves is less than 1/4', BEFORE tightening any of the bolts holding the two together.
