Here I am sharing with you downloads for some of my MINDSTORMS robots! The LDD’s are digital models that require the LEGO Digital Designer installed on your computer and the programs are .ev3 files. Click on the link for the file you want to go to the download page. I apologize in advance because the building instructions are auto-generated and can be pretty weird at times. Also, If there are any free floating parts or rubber bands, please see the YouTube video or pictures of the robot to see where they go (as sometimes LDD likes to be annoying and prevents me from putting every part where it belongs).
Happy building,
The.LXF file format is used by LEGO Digital Designer (LDD), a virtual LEGO building application by the LEGO Group. These files are saved using the.ZIP compression format and within each.LXF file, there are three files: - MODEL100.MODEL A binary LXF scene file - IMAGE100.PNG A thumbnail images of the model - IMAGE100.LXFML. MyBricks4U is a place where you can find all my models I build with LEGO® Digital Designer (LDD). From every model on this site is a.LXF file available made by me. In case of non-standard LEGO® models, sometimes a few building instructions can be downloaded. They are also made by me of the LXF file with Blueprint software. Tip: Lego Digital Designer is FREE. Download from Lego.com. All of these models are shown in Lego Digital Designer files which is a free 3D CAD program from LEGO. The models shown here fall into several categories: Training Bots, Accessories, and miscellaneous parts. Instructions: At the bottom of each image is a link to download that LDD file.

NOTE: You must have LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) installed on your computer in order to open the LDD (.lxf) files. It is a free download, and you can get it here: http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/
- Exporting a LEGO Digital Designer-file to LDraw. 5.) Select File Export model (Ctrl+E) from the menu bar but don't forget to save your model first in LDD's own file format.lxf. 6.) In the popping up dialog first select Ldraw-Files (.ldr) from the Files of type: in the drop-down box. Additionally you might select the.lxfml file format which.

HiTechnic Programming Blocks
In early 2019, all of the HiTechnic downloads migrated to the Modern Robotics website. However, some of their important programming blocks were lost in the transition. I provide them below for your use.
Each of these blocks must be imported into the EV3 Software before they can be used. See my tutorial for instructions on how to do this.
Disclaimer: I did not create these programming blocks, rather they were created by HiTechnic. I provide them here so that students and hobbyists may have access to them.
Also, I have made PDF building instructions available for the six models featured in my book, Building Smart LEGO MINSTORMS EV3 Robots. The building instructions are much easier to use than the LDD. They also include a parts list, which will help you source the pieces necessary before you start building.
Security Tank
*Note: These PDF building instructions are a work in progress. I am in the process of remaking them, and they will be available by mid May.
For more information on the Security Tank, please see the video.

Omnilander
Note: The PDF building instructions for this model are a work in progress and will be done soon. In the meantime, this link allows you to download the LDRAW CAD file. When opened in LDCAD, this file shows you how to build the robot in ordered chunks. It is a better alternative to LDD.

Sirius (FLL Robot)
For more information, please see the video, “Sirius, an FLL Robot.”
IMPORTANT NOTE: This model is provided for inspiration ONLY! You cannot use my exact design if you intend on competing in a robotics competition, such as FLL, WRO, etc. Copying the designs of others is strongly discouraged and goes against the rules and core values of the competition. For more information on the difference between “inspiration” and “copying,” and a discussion of what is okay for competition, see the video “When is Copying Robot Designs for Competition Bad?”
*Requires parts not included with the EV3 (31313) retail set.
Sirius 1.2 (Modified FLL Robot)
This is a slightly modified version of my Sirius FLL robot. It is modified to use more obtainable wheels, as well as NXT motors.
